Danny Braun
Lauréat d’un Prix Numix 2023 pour le balado De Montréal à Guantanamo, Danny Braun a travaillé pour plusieurs émissions à Radio-Canada et CBC et collaboré avec Al Jazeera Doc Channel et TV5 Monde à titre de journaliste et réalisateur.
En 2011, il a reçu quatre prix internationaux dont le prestigieux Prix Italia pour le webdoc Réfugiés oubliés. Il a remporté le Prix Justicia 2002 et 2003 ainsi que le Prix Amnistie International 2001.
En 2011, Danny Braun a cofondé la compagnie de production yayafilm. Il enseigne le journalisme à l'École des médias de l'UQAM et a dirigé des ateliers documentaire à l'INIS et au Al Jazeera Training Center.
Seana Pasic
Directrice photo et réalisatrice, Seana Pasic a travaillé depuis plus de vingt ans pour différents médias télévisuels, radiophoniques et numériques. Lauréate en 2003 du Prix Gémeaux dans la catégorie recherche pour le documentaire WarBabies…nés de la haine, produit par Macumba International, elle a travaillé pour The Link à RCI et collaboré aux émissions de Radio-Canada telles que Enjeux et Zone libre.
Elle a coréalisé les documentaires: Femmes au combat (2016), Traite et proxénétisme (2015), Roms : la route de l’exil (2014) diffusés à Grands reportages- RDI et TV5 Monde.
About us
Danny Braun is an award-winning radio and TV journalist and documentary film director.
He has worked as an investigative reporter for Radio-Canada’s TV series Enjeux, and many radio documentary programs at Radio-Canada and CBC's flagship show Ideas.
His work was recognized with multiple awards including the Justicia Award 2001 and 2002, the Amnesty International Award 2001 and Prix Numix 2023 for best digital content for the podcast De Montréal à Guantanamo.
He produced and directed Radio-Canada-CBC’s first web-doc Exile Without End, awarded with the prestigious Prix Italia 2011.
In 2011, Danny Braun co-founded independent documentary production company yayafilm.
Danny teaches journalism and documentary at École des médias de l'UQAM and internationally.
Seana Pasic is a Montreal based director of photography and documentary filmmaker. She has worked in media production for more than two decades, in TV, radio, and digital media journalism, documentary film and photography.
In 2003, she was awarded the Prix Gémeaux for best research in documentary by the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television for War Babies , produced by Macumba International, with Raymonde Provencher and Catherine Hébert.
In 2011, she co-founded a film production company yayafilm, producing, directing and filming documentaries broadcast nationally and internationally on Radio-Canada, RDI, Le Devoir, TV5 Monde and Aljazeera.
